Cookies related to display advertising
The application uses the Google Ad Manager service for marketing distribution and targeting. The Privacy Statement of the Google Ad Manager service is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy
Cookies and other similar technologies can be used in Tuudo's advertising services. We are committed to and comply with the principles of self-regulation regarding transparency and consent (Trasparency & Consent Framework) of IAB Europe and follow its rules. We use the Consent Management Platform with the identification number 300. Through these cookie settings, the user can manage choices related to cookies, for example giving consent, refusing to give consent and withdrawing your consent. Some of our partners process information collected with cookies based on a legitimate interest. The user can object to processing related to a legitimate interest in the site's cookie settings.
Cookies in Tuudo's advertising services
We may collect data about the user's terminal device using cookies and other similar technologies. A cookie is a small text file that the browser stores on the data subject’s device. Cookies often contain an anonymous, unique identifier that allows us to identify and count the browsers that visit our site.
Cookies do not move online by themselves, but are placed on the user's terminal device only with the site called by the user. Only the server that sent the cookie can later read and use the cookie. Cookies or other technologies do not damage the user's terminal device or files, and cookies cannot be used to run programs or spread malware.
The user cannot be identified using cookies alone. Taking account the legislation on privacy protection, the information obtained with the help of cookies and other similar technologies can be linked to the personal data obtained from the user in other contexts in order to develop our services even better to meet the user's preferences and to tailor content, marketing communications and advertising.
For the sake of clarity, the term "cookie" in this cookie clause refers to actual cookies as well as other similar storage technologies. Such technologies include, for example, the storage mechanism built into HTML5, which can store and read information about, for example, the user or his terminal device either per session (session storage) or for a longer period of time (local storage), the use of tracking technologies based on network calls, and the identification of the user's terminal device with so-called fingerprinting techniques. In addition, we use shared identifiers, such as ID5, which are transmitted encrypted along with the advertising invitation to our partners, and with which the user's browser can be identified and/or the user can be identified, for example to present targeted advertising.
Third party cookies and social interfaces
So-called first-party cookies are set by the website and/or mobile application. In addition to these, our services occasionally use so-called third-party cookies, which are used, for example, by analytics and advertising management systems and the technologies used in the sale of advertising space. Through contractual arrangements, we try to guarantee that these third parties comply with the legislation in force at any given time and the industry's self-regulatory guidelines.
We use, for example, the following third-party tools in our services:
- Google Ad Manager for advertising distribution and targeting. The data stored in the cookies used by Google tools (for example IP addresses) are sent to Google servers in different parts of the world to be stored. Because of this, the data in question can be processed on servers located elsewhere than in the user's country of residence. Google can also customize the content of the ads shown to users based on the terminal device, location and previous browsing history. Google may also transmit information to third parties if required by law, or in cases where a third party processes information on behalf of Google. Google does not combine the user's IP address with other data stored by Google.
Purposes of cookies
Cookies are used for several reasons. They can be used, for example, to ensure the functionality and security of the service, improve the user experience of the service or present content based on the user's interests. The names of cookies and similar technologies may sometimes change when services are improved and updated, but in general they fall into the following main categories:
Analytics cookies are used to collect information, e.g. about how the site is used, what is searched for on our pages, how long time is spent on the pages and which pages are liked. The information is used in the development of services.
Advertising cookies store information about the user's visit, the pages the user has viewed and the links the user has opened. With their help, e.g. to ensure that the ads shown to the user are as relevant as possible and likely to be of interest to the user. Such cookies can, for example, be used so that the user sees advertisements for our products when visiting other sites. They can also be used to limit the number of times a single ad is shown and to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. These types of cookies can also be used to track how the user moves between different sites.
Functional cookies are necessary to use the services and their functions (e.g. login). We use them to remember the user's choices (e.g. username, location). We can also use them to provide other services (e.g. to enable watching videos).
